LWN · LIVE WIRE CURRENT DESK
Join a character-led view of the current source wire. The main stage uses server-captured news; dated voiced shows stay watchable in History, and dated commentary never pretends to be today's reporting.

SOURCE REPORTED · UNREVIEWED · NOT TRUTH-ELEVATED
The TV stage, Rumors Desk, and this full desk refresh every two minutes while visible and fail closed with no stale fallback. The scheduled editorial edition window advances every four hours. Both clocks come from the server. Recorded voiced shows remain explicitly dated inside History.
THE TAPE LIBRARY
Open a recorded show or replay a sealed four-hour wire from its first lead. Every link is a personal historical replay—not the shared live position.

THE DESK
The current stage is genuinely server-captured. Its source set, capture receipt, and rotation clock come from the newsroom server. If that current wire cannot be proven, the stage fails closed instead of substituting an old show.
Current means server-captured. The source desk accepts only reported items inside its six-hour ceiling, refreshes while visible, and disappears rather than substituting stale material. The restored Rumors Desk gives each lead a stable track, signal state, source receipt, and “what would change this” rule. Every item remains reported, unreviewed, unverified; nothing is auto-confirmed or automatically promoted on air.
Current voice is cache-only. The current edition plays only a pre-generated pack bound to the sealed source receipts. Dated July 12 shows remain explicit historical replays. Neither path calls a provider per viewer or generates new speech in the browser.
